Tasting Note:

100% Chenin Blanc, young vines of 10 years or less, from only 2 hectares.

Those vines are eventually meant to be part of the ‘grand vin’. For now they are declassified as Vin de France.

Green apple, white flowers and citrus, energy and tension on the finish.

Region & Appellation:

Located in Savennières, Loire Valley, France. The vineyard covers 12 hectares, predominantly in La Roche aux Moines AOC, on the right bank of the Loire.

History:

The estate was founded in 1981 by Madame Monique Laroche and is now managed by Tessa Laroche, who took over from her mother in 2001 and converted the estate to organic and biodynamic farming.

Vineyard & Soils:

All the vineyard is planted around the house, some inside the house’s park, next to various fruit trees. Ideal south / south-west exposures, next to the famed Coulee de Serrant. Planted on schist, sandstone, and clay soils, ideal for Chenin Blanc.

“A Chardonnay that tastes like pure luxury.”
This Chassagne-Montrachet is all about finesse, bright citrus, white flowers, and that beautiful mineral edge. The French oak is so well-judged: creamy texture, no heaviness. It’s the kind of bottle you open for a special dinner and instantly feel like you upgraded the entire evening.

“Structured, serious, and absolutely memorable.”
The 2021 Pommard has real presence: dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of spice wrapped in firm but polished tannins. It’s powerful without being heavy, with a long, savoury finish that keeps pulling you back for another sip.

“So silky and juicy I finished the bottle too fast.”
This Gamay from Fleurie is vibrant and lifted, red berries, violets, and a subtle spice note. The palate is fresh, silky, and super drinkable, but there’s depth beneath the charm. Chill it slightly, pour a big glass, and it basically becomes the definition of ‘more-ish’.

“Barolo character without the Barolo price tag.”
The Trediberri Langhe Nebbiolo shows rose, red cherry, and a hint of tobacco with classic Nebbiolo grip. Firm yet refined tannins, bright acidity, and a long savoury finish make it a serious, expressive “baby Barolo” with outstanding value.

What types of events do you offer?

We specialize in tailor-made corporate tastings, including masterclasses, gala dinners, cocktail parties, and walk-around tastings. Those can be added to your existing corporate gathering, for example adding a wine tasting before a shareholder dinner, or concluding a seminar with a Champagne experience.

Here are the main event formats we create:

‘Wine Gallery’ Cocktail Party: A vibrant standing event featuring wine stations, each highlighting a unique theme / comparative tasting with its own dedicated sommelier. Attendees face engaging challenges and at each station.

Seated Tasting / Masterclass: Ideal for groups of up to 20, this format is perfect as a pre-dinner engagement or a comprehensive masterclass focusing on specific wine regions.

Wine Dinner: A multi-course dinner where each dish is carefully paired with our wine selection, preceded by our sommelier’s introduction and complemented by a blind tasting challenge.

Add-On Wine Experience: Enhance your existing corporate seminar, product launch, or appreciation event with a tailored wine tasting segment that seamlessly integrates with your schedule.

Prices vary based on group size and specific needs, starting around $100 per person for larger groups, and $150-$200 per person for smaller ones. For a tailored quote feel free to reach out to us via email at jordan@granite.wine
